Deerfield Creations is a little shop based in North Alabama offering handcrafted tools and notions for knitting and spinning. Every piece made at Deerfield Creations is a unique, one of a kind, work of art. We specialize in handturned Tibetan and Russian support spindles, as well as the signature Temple support spindle. We also create nostepinnes, darning eggs, WPI gauges, hand sculpted stitch markers, handspun yarn, and spindle sleeves. We love creating beautifully elegant tools, while sometimes throwing in a bit of whimsey. If you have any questions about any of the products offered in the shop, Lori will be more than happy to help. Shop updates are posted on Sunday afternoons. This holiday season, Just One More Row listeners will be given 10% off of every Deerfield Creations purchase just by entering the coupon code JOMR1211 in the coupon code box at checkout.  You can visit the shop at http://deerfieldcreations.etsy.com.

Here’s Dana’s new yarn winding station:

It’s the Vika Artur trestle table leg from IKEA, and works GREAT as a yarn winding station! 🙂

Brittany: Cody’s Hat

Dana: Chris’s Starry Night Christmas Socks, Unwind Yarn Company Tainted Love minibatt on Threads Thru Time medium Turkish.
Brittany: Austin’s Hat

New in the Queue:

Dana: Loop Batt Club ($120 for 3 months, 5+ oz a month)
Brittany: AnotherCraftyGirl sock yarn

Discussion: KnitScene Winter ‘11
Brittany: A little disappointed with the cover; a weird complaint, but it didn’t grab me. Brown summery looking top- nothing about it says winter to me. I want to be thinking about bundling up by the fire! Not a walk on the beach. But, anyway…
Zelda Cloche! We all know I love a good cloche.
Mandalina Mittens: I would DEFINITELY make, but the colors are an “interesting” choice- no real contrast, very hard to see the beautiful pattern.
Netherleigh Cardigan: simple and very cute. I could definitely wear this. I love the little birds on it, too. Could be anything you want to embroider on it, though.
Ramona Cowl: I love paisley! I don’t see me doing it in bright rainbow colors, but I would make it.
Wragby Cardigan: like it better on the non-model here!

Dana: I feel the same way about the cover. What the heck is up with that picture?!
Vera Cardigan: love it! I especially love the button loops on the pockets.
I like the Madalina Mittens too.  Would definitely use higher contrasting colors.
Tereza Pullover: for some reason I really like this, although it’s not like anything I already own.
Ramona Cowl: I would definitely do it in a Zauberball. That would make it very interesting.
Bermondsey Cardigan: lovely for just knocking around. I wouldn’t make Nevis because it’s laceweight.
Wragby Cardigan: the fronts are very interesting.
Netherleigh Cardigan: by my new fave designer, Amy Christoffers!  Love the embroidery- fabulous.

My Ravelry name, JulienoJulesJukes, is a statement telling others that I don’t like being called Jules or Jukes-nicknames one of my brothers (and a few others as well) insist on calling me. Enough already!

My Ravelry name is Justwantstoknit – because I just want to knit

My name on ravelry is AuntGerry. Nothing special but my name is Gerry and I used to own and operate a B &B in Central Michigan and it was called Aunt Gerry’s House and my email and other references used that so that is what is on Ravelry.
    Pick me Pick me!
