Hey everybody! Just a “quickie” (in a manner of speaking, depending on your definition) today, talking about our SAFF travel plans for this weekend, letting Jess give a brief intro, and talking about our Errnaments KAL, which starts on 11/1! Thanks for listening, and be sure to stop by the Ravelry group!

We are going to SAFF on Saturday 10/29! We aren’t going to do an official meetup, but will be wandering around so if you see us, please say hi! We will have podcast buttons and we promise we don’t bite. 😉

Appalachian Naturals Soap
Dusty’s Vintage Buttons
Gale’s Art
Green Mountain Spinnery

Errnament KAL
The idea is to spread the love during this holiday season and knit with a purpose! All proceeds from the pattern go to Child Aid. In addition to the pattern, 15% of the proceeds from Dana’s mini kits and full-sized skeins of the Christmas colorways in the kit will also go to Child Aid. You can get entries for downloading the pattern, for knitting with Dana’s specially dyed minis (or full sized skeins of the colorways), and for donating to Child Aid. For every $10 you donate (screenshot and pm us a receipt) you will also get an entry. The idea is to knit one ornament for yourself and one for your friend. You can use any of the ornament patterns (heck, adapt them for yourself if you want). To help us out, after you’ve earned your first entry please post a FO post in the FO thread and edit it to update with new entries and pictures (yes we must see pictures of your ornaments!), totaling the amount of entries you’ve earned at the bottom of your post in bold. You can just post text that you donated to ChildAid if you choose to do so and don’t want to put the screenshot on Ravelry- you must email us though! All edits to your FO post must be completed by 12:00amET December 22- we cannot make exceptions since this ends so close to Christmas. We will draw for prizes on our episode following Christmas. If you want to donate to the prize giveaway, please PM Dana (danaofunwind) or Jessica (pbjstokes) on Ravelry.

Entries quick reference:

Purchasing the pattern: 1 entry
Knitting with Unwind’s mini kit or a full sized skein of the Christmas colorways: 1 entry (max of 2 entries)
Knitting two ornaments (one for you and one for a friend): 1 entry (max 15 entries, so a total of 30 ornaments)
Donating directly to Child Aid: 1 entry per $10 donated
Remember to tag #errnamentKAL on your instagram pictures!
Example of a FO post:
Pattern purchased: 1 entry
Ornaments knit: 8 for a total of 4 entries
pictures of ornaments here
Mini kit used from Unwind Yarn Company: 1 entry
Full sized skein used from Unwind Yarn Company: 1 entry
Donated $10 to ChildAid: 1 entry

Total Entries Earned: 8

Please note: The pattern will be up in advance of the KAL! Thanks for your patience!
