On A Runabout:
We vended a craft fair together at Jess’s school!
Lots of pattern downloads- Don’t forget to claim a spot on the KAL thread! So far we have raised $71 (from pattern sales & ornament sales) and $52.95 (from kits and single skeins). There are still several kits available, as well as whole skeins, plus the pattern is only $2! Tell your friends and join us!
Prizes: Two bags, three pattern downloads, handspun from Jess, skein of your choice of $30 or less from Dana’s shop.
Sew You Say:
Dana: a zillion mug rugs (from this pattern) and hot pads (made up), Snow Kitty dress for Madelyn from the Green Bee pattern Lily Dress (and I do NOT recommend them at all!), another Staple Dress for me out of herringbone tweed felt, got the quilt sandwiches made for my aunt and inlaws’ quilts, about to piece a table runner for a friend for Christmas
Jessica: recycled project bags out of sweatpants
Where The Wild Things Are:
Dana: Madelyn wouldn’t sit on Santa’s lap and had a total meltdown. Had a blast at Thanksgiving getting pushed around by her cousin Layla (6 months older) on a push toy.
Jessica: “learned to knit AND read” story about Molly.
Review: Double Or Nothing: Reversible Knitting For The Adventurous by Alisdair Post-Quinn ($17.95 eBook download on Ravelry OR $29.95 for eBook/print book combo/$30.95 signed copy on Alisdair’s website)

- 12 in 17: each month, use up a single skein in a project. The skein must be whole when you start, and you have to post a picture of the skein before starting. You must use at least 50g of a skein in order for the project to count. (ie. you can’t use up scraps for this, unless they’re just accents in a project where you’re using a whole skein. You can use contrast for heels/toes, whatever, but please don’t push this guys! Keep with the spirit of the thing!) The point is to use up all of the single skeins in your stash if you have them, but if they’re new yarn purchases that’s ok too. We aren’t going to do specific prompts, but some months we may have a promotion with certain designers for a deal on a pattern, or with yarnies for yarn, so you might want to check the group to see (and keep up with the podcast!). No WIPs allowed, and you must cast on and finish in the month. You can still choose to do this like 12 in 16 and knit socks every month if that’s your preference! Please PM us with questions and we will have a more comprehensive (and hopefully concise) rule list up soon.
- We are taking sponsors and prize donations for 2017! Please email us at email@example.com if you are interested. 🙂
