If you are a new or established designer and are looking for a tech editor for your accessories, toys, shawls, cowls, or whatever else you have created I am happy to work with you to make the pattern the best it can be.  This includes checking for spelling and grammatical errors, checking the math, and comparing written and charted instructions.  I can also assist in writing pattern descriptions.  Contact me to learn more and let’s talk! You can find out more by visiting my site https://jenknittingaround.com/knitting-services/.

Underway:
Dana: Adama, Campside Cardi, Paddle Mitts, FiberOptic FootNotes roving in Calypso (singles are done, just waiting to find time to ply!)
Jessica: Magic Cake Ruffle Shawl, Afterthought Everything Socks, Modified Molly Hat, sweater spin is a go! (made sample card & mini skein test, it’s going to be a 3ply dk!) (mentions the Le Scarabee Bleu sweater as a potential cast on, but it’s actually in DK, not fingering like we thought!)

Concluded:
Dana: Afterthought Everything Socks, Augustine Shawlette, Spun Right Round “Cornucopia” Nply, Twist Fiber Studios Falkland 2ply
Jessica: Worsted Boxy, BFL

Sew You Say:
Dana: Crafty Cats preorders are now available in the shop through June 10! Preorder ship date is on or before June 24, and you can buy the yarn separately this time! As far as sewing goes, I’ve made a lot of half circle skirts out of jersey and ponte lately, for both myself and Madelyn. It’s crunch time to get done with Chris’s Legendary quilt, and I’ve finished the trees and will cut sashing and all of the Sasquatch pieces tonight. Gotta get it mailed by Tuesday! Eep!
Jessica: Made 2 skirts and a shirt with no pattern for any of them! I based them off of things I already own.

Where The Wild Things Are:
Dana: Madelyn finished up this year at PDO! Starts a summer-only program on June 6, so until then I’m single parenting with no childcare. It’s a bit overwhelming. I made cosmetic bags for her teachers for end of year gifts and they were so happy!
Jessica: Porter remembered his teachers’ favorite flavors of M&Ms and brought them a present of them along with some succulents for an end of school gift!

Makers Moment:
Dana: started my herb container gardens with cool over-the-rail planters. My basil in particular is doing REALLY well- I need to make more recipes with basil so I can thin it out! Maybe some pesto?
Jess: My garden is doing really well! No produce yet, but my sunflowers are knee-high, and my black eyed susans and tomato plants are doing great!

Imagined Landscapes +1 Pop Collection Preview:
We’ve had the opportunity to get a little preview of Sarah Schira’s new +1 Pop Collection, and it’s really cool! It will be a 7 pattern collection with lots of different types of accessory designs that all feature miniskeins so you can play with lots of color. Sarah has promised hat, cowl, and mitt patterns, and all of them have been carefully designed to make the most of miniskeins and the large variety of colors they come in. She’s also taken care to make the stitch patterns easily memorizable so you can get the most out of your knitting time. You can check out the information page here, and see what it’s all about! Until the final pattern of the 7 pattern collection is released, you can get the collection for a discounted price, or even purchase the patterns a la carte as they’re released.
