Dana: Scrappy Happy Summer Tank, Peacock Lake

Sew You Say:
Dana: Still working on my Modern Christmas Tree quilt blocks. Finished one 100 Acts of Sewing Shirt No 1, and one more 100 Acts Of Sewing Skirt No 1. Made my cousin a tote bag using the Hawthorne Threads Sweet & Simple Tote pattern (upsized by about 5” in both directions). Made my mom a Hawthorne Threads Activity Pillow for her birthday out of some gorgeous Art Gallery fabrics. Got the new Elizabeth Hartman Awesome Ocean and Sea Urchin patterns from Massdrop, and picked up fabric to make the small version of the Awesome Ocean quilt and the Sea Urchin pillow from the local quilt shop yesterday. (if you haven’t checked out Massdrop, you should! I got the patterns for about 40% off retail!)
Jessica: Looking for quilting inspiration. Got any to share? Please leave a comment here on the blog or in the episode thread on Ravelry!

Where The Wild Things Are:
Dana: Took Madelyn to the beach for the first time and it was awesome. She had a ball and I really enjoyed reconnecting with my cousin!
Jessica: Porter traveled to California. He loved the waterpark and taking the train from the Redwoods to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Up next: Lake Winnie!

Makers Moment:
Dana: Inherited my great-aunt’s 1954 Singer 306K sewing machine! Going to have to refinish the cabinet.
Jess: Tomato and peppers! Watermelon in a bucket.
