Thank you for joining us for Episode 153 of Just One More Row, hosted by pbjstokes and danaofunwind! This episode is brought to you by Unwind Yarn Company.

If you haven’t stopped by the Unwind Yarn Company shop yet this year, you really should! There’s a brand new look to the Unwind logo and labels, and new colorways are popping up weekly, including a new “Perfect Blenders” series that will take the guesswork out of matching up skeins to use together in a project. Stop by Unwind and make any purchase of $30 or more in the months of January and February, and get 15% off your in-stock purchase by using code JOMR15! You can find the shop at unwindyarncompany.com.

Dana: Project Peace 2017, Sunset Highway (steam blocking on the needles using a tailor’s ham), Polygon Blanket
Jessica: 2017 Socks, On The Spice Market Shawl, 2AAT Socks For Porter

Dana: focusing on my current projects… not really paying too much attention to my queue as I want to keep momentum!
Jessica: Leave recommendations in the episode thread for handspun sweaters! Finishing ALL 2017 WIPS this month!

Dana: Madelyn Shawl, Gumdrop Buttons Socks
Jessica: Fog Cutter

Sew You Say:
Dana: finished the table runner with the jankety pattern, finished my Morningstar Quilt top and shams (first bed-sized quilt top!) and will be sending those out for longarming this week, made a pillow out of the “orphan block” left over from my Modern Christmas Tree quilt, finished a jelly roll race baby quilt for a friend. Current sewing: not much since my machine is in the shop! I’m learning how to foundation paper piece and it is ADDICTIVE, even if I am having to use my old beginner machine to do it. I’ve mainly been cutting out a zillion new things to work on as soon as I get my machine back!
Jessica: Bag, cleaned up sewing space, new shorts project.

Where The Wild Things Are:
Dana: We had a wonderful Christmas! Check out my personal IG @dana_of_unwind for videos of Madelyn on Christmas morning. Now we are just getting back into the swing of things with PDO.
Jessica: Had a great time in the Caymans! Got to have a relaxing time and do lots of “touristy” things as a family, and Porter lost his first tooth!

Makers Moment:
Dana: How’s everyone’s #jomrminimalistproject going? I’m up to over 200 things so far this month! (if you add up all the days of January it’s 496 things donated/gifted/trashed.) I got some laundry soap stations, which isn’t exactly minimalism but is helping to organize my laundry area. One thing I’ve done knittingwise- completely cleaned out my queue- I’m down to 3 pages and it’s all things I already have yarn allocated for. I saved stuff to favorites if I wanted to remember it. Also: did you guys know that the wishlist feature is now in Favorites? Apparently it moved in November and I missed the announcement. Podcasts I’m excited about: Queens of England Podcast, Lore, Harry Potter and the Sacred Text, Love To Sew, and Tightly Spun– all are new to me (except HP, which I’ve been listening to over a year, and I’m interviewed on an upcoming episode of Tightly Spun!).
Jessica: Meal prep for Keto-diet. Use blue mason jars. Porter’s Worst Chicken Ever (omit the Panko).
